“After a 10 year hiatus, I was hesitant about trying to step back onto a tennis court. I walked into Drop the Racquet to have my racquet restrung where I was fortunate to meet owner Tom Twitchell. After realizing his knowledge and enthusiasm for the game, I decided to take private lessons.
Once a week, Tom patiently and encouragingly helped me rebuild my skills from the ground up and enabled me to develop a solid foundation. He brought me to a level where I was able to play and enjoy the game again in a matter of months. He broke the game down into simple components and core skills, and then built on these as my game improved.
He was able to provide constructive feedback while making me feel like I was doing pretty well. Tom is an exceptional tennis instructor and has definitely brought the enjoyment of tennis back for me!”

“I used Drop the Racquet’s Demo Program last time I needed a new racquet. There is a lot of variety in the brands these days, as well as in each racquet model. There was no way I could choose something without actually taking it on to the court.
In my opinion, the fee to try a demo racquet is extremely reasonable. And the money gets put towards the racquet that you end up buying. Anyway, after trying out three racquets I found my favorite and it is perfect!”
